In 2003, Top Edge Press published its first titles, The Face of War, (cartoons by Ronald Searle with poems by Simon Rae) and Grass, Simon Rae’s play about the poet John Clare. Grass won a Fringe Highlight at the Edinburgh Festival, and was followed by Hamlet: Cut to the Bone, a highly acclaimed one-man adaptation of Shakespeare’s most famous play.

In 2005 Top Edge Press published Peter Howard’s poetry pamphlet, Game Theory, and now in 2009 branches out into fiction for the first time with Unplayable, in an informal partnership with the Cricket Foundation’s Chance to shine programme.
